delay: bizzarre or broken?

hi,

when using sync mode, delay times are usually indicated by 1/1 (1 bar), 1/4 (1/4 of a bar), 1/8 (1/8 of a bar), etc.

how do nanostudio sync values work? i don't think that setting _beats _ to 64/1 will give you a 64 bars delay...

also, i noticed:

  1. when sync is enabled, 1/1 value produces the same dly time of 2/1 value
  2. when sync is disabled, 4.0s time produces the same dly time of 2.0s

any explanation is welcomed

thanks

this is known limitation... because of memory usage optimalisation maximum buffer size for delay is limited and all delay settings which are exceeding max allowed buffer size are truncated to this size...

becuse current devices have lot bigger memory than devices available during NS2 developement, in my opinion this limit should be increased... will mention this to Matt...

  • thanx for the info

i still think delay implementation is wrong and/or unclear

    hope for a fix
