How to save preset bank that includes samples

Not sure how to go about saving and exporting an Obsidian Preset Bank that includes custom samples mapped to the keyboard.

    • at left side, where you see folders (user, factory, iap) tap hamburger menu
    • now at rights side select patches you want to export
    • now at left side you see "Export" option

it packs all selected patches to zip file and then opens standard iOS picker ;)

And that will also definitely include all the user samples in those patches?

yes... actually every time you save custom patch all used samples are saved together with patch ... So even if you delete them from their initial location (for example Library), they stay saved "inside" patch.
Same if you save custom Slate bank.

Note that if you don't explicitly save patch / bank but just whole project where you created them, in project are saved just relative paths to original samples location ! This is because in project it is a bit different - there are stored just data (project comfiguration, notes, events, used patches, etc) but not samples. To export project as complete self-contained package including ALL ( * ) used samples, you need to use "Archive" option in "Settings > Project" menu

( * ) Exception are factory and IAP patches, those samples are not included in archived project (from obvious reasons :))

  • Thanks - that was a really helpful explanation!
