  • it's not thaz unrealistic and not that complicated if you have some experience with soldering iron... i've made few controllers based on this project http://ucapps.de - it was quite fun :-)
  • @palm yeah i see wht you want to do.. if there would be possibility to directly map all obsidian knobs zo midi he controller, i would build for myself diy midi comtroller optimalisef for Obsidian :-)
  • all this should be already properly handed in mute mode "audio and content" .. "content" means basically "midi" ...

  • @Shabudua said: @dendy said: no at the moment, mute mode is just "track output and content" or "track output only" .. All mute mode would need is a third option, “track content only.” yes, this.

  • @TEas08 sorry for bad English, i´m German not needed to apologize, lot of use here are non-native speakers .. mine english isn't perfect too ) Important is that we at least approximately understand each other )
  • no at the moment, mute mode is just "track output and content" or "track output only" .. but this sounds to me like nothing complicated to add, forwarded it to matt's queue of small tweaks ..

  • man you're sick.. like really, in good way ) this time i have nothing to criticize, it sounds exactly like it should sound, includimg deep massive basses ... great job !
  • If i good remember, somebody at AudioBus forum (i think it was user with nickname "stormybeats") was mentionimg that he uses Blocs Wave exactly for this - batch timestretching of custom loops...
  • hypnopsychedelic... love how slowly it progresses ... nice mood.. i like acid melodies, 303 is my old love, this is very much match with music i like
  • I performed with NS tonight and it worked absolutely fine with just one long note for the backing! glad to hear that ! It's slightly academic though Yeah, for many people single-note approach is good compromise. This sample off…
  • you can do this trick just a little bit different way ;-) I'm using it all the time, it works perfectly for wav files up to 16-18 bars long - for longer files it isn't good instead of one long note put serie of short (16th or 32th) notes and then…
  • thanks guys @Cray23 that is pretty good idea just at the moment i don't have enough energy to organise such battle, i'm totally overloaded by work .. but i'm thinking about this for long time .. something with interesting prices for winners, …
  • And to that distortion, well most of the tracks have Waveshaper Not surprised too much anyway this is exceptional showcase how good job did Matt with waveshaper ! all sound in this track are actually coming sampled from Behringer Neu…
  • That distortion/overdrive used sounds beautiful to my ears Very smooth .. is it's NS's waveshaper or some AUv3 ? Small criticism - i'm missing subbas in track. From beginning i was expecting some deep sub will start at some point but it didn't h…
  • @drez thanks, we are doing our best Anyway, i think also @Nomzai wrote nothing wrong in this thread, actually he started this thread with good post, to the point. Nothing wrong about discussing this topic from all angles of view, every opinio…
  • Guys guys.. just stop. Not needed to build some flamewar here. Nothing happened here to be mad on each other. #makemusicnotflamewar @9ine6ix said: Audio tracks planning to be an In-app purchase I do recall. Yes exactly @Nomza…
  • This may look a bit complicated but it has some benefits - you can create unified macro knobs map for each plugin (let's say to have filter cutoff / resonance defined always on XY pad) and then use same hw controller CC's to control xy pad - so no …
  • In NS it works this way: 1/ AU Instrument has so called "Macro knobs" (and XY pad, mod wheel and pitch wheel) in performance tab. You assign those macro knobs to AU i strument parameters (using hamburger icon at left top side of AU instrument pe…
  • strange, that KQ Unotone is not available in appstore in my country.. what a pity
  • Yeah definitely .. add empty clip - just hit pencil icon in sequencrer bottom menu a n then "draw" clip with clip selected, use bottom right handle to increase / decrease it's length
  • @anickt Correct me if I’m wrong @dendy or @Stiksi but from previous discussions it sounds to me like the foundations for these and other features are already in place and would not “fundamentally change how NS2 works” very much exactly …
  • Btw one tip/trick for drums design in Obsidian - kick drums or percussions with sharp attack/decay may sound not perfect during realtime playback, if "high" buffer size is used - sometimes you may get effect like wrong envelope attack/decay is app…
  • @Shabudua said: Another advantage of doing it this way: each drum will have its own track for fx and mixdown. Yeah exactly. Or you can use different synths (AUv3) for each pad ..
  • yes of course there is some level of degradation of quality - it depends how much you change tempo from original, also how good timestretching algo is app using (some are weaker, some better) .. but at it's basic it does what usual user expect…
  • although for drums is always better resample sound to wav and then load wav to sampler (slate) (for example to avoid issues with phasing and wrong played transients) - there is way how to have it realtime it needs one AUv3 midi plugin - this one:…
  • convolution reverb in NS is planned as IAP
in Convolution Comment by dendy September 4
  • Yeah we discussed something like that already during developement.. till yet wasn't time for such thing, but definitely it's somewhere on the list.. For now i'm using for this NS2 audio routing capabilities - i simple add sends to let's say 3 oth…

  • @Nomzai Tempo track with ramping (continuous tempo changes) was one of reasons why audio tracks weren't included in initial release - Matt wanted to do it properly and there was not enough time to deal with time stretching (which is exact soluti…
  • Lol this made me laugh :-D :-D You're a pretty creative man, those kits / packs you are creating are one of most original packs i ever heard )
