Very interesting! We used to do the 'send your music to yourself in the mail' and keep the envelope sealed trick when we were to poor or lazy to file officially, lol; I wonder if the same could be done on a CD or thumb drive with the midi files

I have absolutely no experience with this, but I'm interested in the outcome you figure out. Good luck! Quick question though, midi files aren't copyrightable even though they are basically digital sheet music, which is copyrightable? If so, Thats crazy!

While working on putting together a downloadable drum kit I’ve been experimenting with using only NS2 stock sounds (no IAP, auv3 etc) and stock plug ins, with my drums/hats/808’s to see what I can achieve. Ya. Seems like Adobe is who leaned on Apple for the graphical leaps. I wonder if it'll take an Avid or someone similar to do the same with Audio. Only problem is Apple has a vested interest due to Logic to keeping iOS music less than full featured. I really hope we aren't peaking in iOS music with developer interest etc.…

Makes a lot of sense actually, I never thought about it like that but thats true! Going forward I'll apply that. Are slate and obsidian set to different volume levels by default? Seems like the same samples between the two play louder in slate. If not, maybe its something in my settings. I've already built a few nice drums…

I feel your pain. I've delt with much of the same. I blame a lot of Auv3's messiness on apple. I remember after apple bought logic and transitioned to 64 bit they had an AU container in logic for 32 bit plugins to still work. @anickt @dendy so for clarity should I go back and normalize all these .wavs (if so whats a good db threshold .99/.98/.97 etc to generally run with) or leave them as is?

I have a copy of the whole thread captured before it was deleted that I could post so everyone here could have the proper context of the experiment as well as the tone of the posts.
