  • Is there a way to simply switch on and off an audio FX? A workaround is just to reduce the wet control if that's exposed. The AU FXs currently aren't all exposing dry/wet parameters - am I right in thinking you can't just turn them off or on somehow? Cheers.
  • THANK-YOU! =) This is great news. It would have been a shame not to support these types of expressive controls over NS2's rather superb instruments (As well as the AUs). Like everyone else here - I REALLY appreciate your efforts with all this. NS2 is an outstanding achievement!
  • +1 Yes... controllers are our friends. They should be invited to this party. My Keyboards are feeling a bit unloved as many of their limbs are not being recognised...
  • @dendy Cheers, you’re a gentleman. Does using the sustain pedal make me a decent player then? :p I always thought it was to hide my inability to play through changes! :) Loads of tasty IAPs to make use of this feature - didn’t know this wasn’t on NS1. Hoping this is a possible addition...
  • Multiple lanes - that's big boy stuff! Great feature to have on board. I'd love a desktop style comping feature for recording audio (Messy guitar solos...) - not sure if there is an iOS daw that does that? Still - midi lanes in NS2 is a big big plus.
  • @dendy So would this be a feature request as opposed to a bug report? Either way it might be an idea to change the thread type to support. Hopefully you get the gist of my ramblings regarding this! I'm a big (but unskilled) keys guy so this is a big bummer for the likes of me. Cheers :)
  • Also for the sake of continuity I think it's exactly related to the implementation of midi messages - CC64 to be precise. I've not had any luck with the midi controller map as a workaround because as far as I can tell this will just enable me to use the learn feature to let me use the sustain pedal to control whatever is…
  • Really like that feature in that maker of beats app thingy. Prefer the workflow in NS though... would be a good addition me thinks. +1
  • No worries - troubleshooting is how I get to learn most apps. I haven't solved this problem yet but I've learnt loads by poking around in the corners. All whilst playing of course :) Have a good one.
  • Hi, Initial disclaimer: This could be user error - I'm just a newbie trying to troubleshoot an issue :) Basically I'm just trying to use the sustain/Hold pedal in the same way as usual. To sustain notes while playing - particularly the piano/keys based patches. With internal obsidian instruments or AUs I cannot get the…
  • @dendy Was going to just suggest that - apologies, didn't mean to derail things. I have a tendency to go into detail :) Cheers.
  • @Zupi Yep - I can do this but the only effect is that now the sustain pedal can be used to remotely control knob 1 in the perform view. Which is useful but doesn't allow me to get NS to recognise actual incoming sustain information. If you fiddle about you'll see what I mean. (Or I've missed something which is more than…
  • Okay - so when you do the above and it returns you to the perform view, you can click on 'edit' in the left column view and then click on any of the + signs to add a mapping. Loads to choose from here. But I'm still left not being able to use the mappings I've set up in midi controller view. It reverts to the perform…
  • If I understand you correctly I've done what you suggest but had no luck with that. Whilst I was able to do exactly as you suggest and get knob 1 mapped to 64: Hold pedal, when I go back to the perform page knob 1 is still mapped to 'attack' (Using Electric piano 2 from factory set). I can't seem to get the midi controller…
  • Folks... just to remind some that this pinned thread was officially started by 'Blip Interactive' - with the word 'bug' in the title. Surely this is the proper place to report potential bugs. We're all on the same side here. Catching potential bugs isn't a malicious thing. It's meant to help the developer. In my case I…
  • I did try that yes - No joy. Would sustain information whilst auditioning sounds count as automation? Note and velocity information are being relayed live, just not sustain information. Ho hum... bound to get an answer in due course.
  • Been trying this exact thing but... while it appears (in midi controller map) you can remap the knobs 1-8 and x & y pads to different midi CCs and even get an external source to react to that, I cannot see a way to remap incoming data. E.g take incoming CC64 and turn it into... the correct mapping (Which would be what I…
  • That IS of help - yes! Damn... I hoping it was me being a numpty. Seems a strange thing for beta testers to have missed. Get a proper keyboard hooked up to this thing - it deserves it! :) Still, hopefully a minor fix (Developers love that expression!) if it does turn out to be something that needs fixing. Thanks!
  • Hi Dendy. Thanks for the interest - happy to elaborate. This is no doubt user error but I just can't see why this isn't working. Here's what I've tried: With internal obsidian instruments or AUs I cannot get the sustain pedal working on my external keyboards. (Roland FP-7, Roland FA-08). I've even rigged up a small little…
  • We don’t want to break Matt’s spirits. He’s been in a bubble for a long time and could use some positive encouragement to keep coding for us. So he doesn’t consider getting a real job. Well... a doubt a few bugs will worry him. He's just released the number one selling app in the Music section of the app store (At least it…
  • Someone reports a potential bug in a bug thread... I'm struggling to see how this is anything other than useful! I for one welcome your efforts! Cheers.
  • I think there's a bug involving keyboard sustain pedals. It's the only app I can't get working with my keyboards. I've also tried with a network connection using midi designer from my iPhone. Simple sustain switch (cc64) which works on every other app but this one. Anyone able to get their sustain pedals to work, either…
  • Okay - this one has to be user error but... I can't get NS2 to recognise the sustain pedal on any of my keyboards. It does recognise it when I use the learn function on the midi controller map page (comes up as CC 64 as usual) - but doesn't seem to work as a sustain pedal on any internal or external instrument...what am I…
