  • @Tones4Christ said: So is there a way to add say, reverb only on a snare in a drum kit? And not the other drums? For some reason I feel compelled to summarize things others have already said. Hope I don't confuse you more! You basicall…
  • @drez said: Plus it’s so resource friendly you can easily create many many many many many instances and still have great performance on your iPad. Fixed your post for you.
  • Caveman methods... If you just want to quickly listen, select the row you want to solo, select->inverse, delete 'em, listen, undo. If you want to edit the solo'd lane, select the row you want to solo, select->inverse, transpose up by thr…
  • @iPadBeatMaking said: I definitely think NS2 is a powerhouse, especially with the right samples/sounds for the genre! Amen. I love that you show using Obsidian instead of Slate for tuned 808 bass and hats. I work the same way. I think for…
  • @dendy said: @Will said: Maybe one day we could use the three outputs from the FM oscillator as discreet modulation sources. That is highly unlikely - it would mean rewrire whole Obsidian modulation routing graph to s…
  • Probably not surprising: I love this. Fantastic song/mix/sounds.
  • Agree, it would be useful to have a "Ripple editing" toggle directly in the Song and Part Editor UIs at some point. For me anyway, it'll be more important once audio tracks land.

  • @dendy said: Hah, one of my old challenges where i was never satisfied with result .. Basic problem is, that original sound uses some Eden's features which are not 1:1 implemented in Obsidian. * oscillator sync - in Eden there are sync…
  • @Sinthemau said: It was easy and quicker than I tought. Files PDF and EPUB are ready to go, but need a doublecheck from someone. Also for the order of the pages I followed the website, but single chapters could be reordered. Nea…
  • @Will said: Maybe already mentioned but made much use of this on a project tonight... Named regions/markers: Presuming you have some sort of "master" track that doesn't have note/part data (or if you don't, just make an empty track)…
  • @dendy said: @Will great overview of DT actions, going to link it in tips & tricks thread ! Cool but there's way more and I like @db909's idea of having a master list of NS2 double taps. Let's use it as a starting point for a crowd-s…

  • Hmm... that's prolly enough to start the crowdsourcing thread. I didn't realize I'd rambled about them for that long.
  • @db909 said: @dendy said: @db909 do you know that for "loop to selection" you even don't need open actions submenu and tap directly to "loop to selection" , just double tap "actions" button does it too ? And when you are…
  • Or maybe they're super duper giant Slate samples and you're using "SAVE AS" instead of SAVE? That would, I believe, copy all of the samples to the new project folder. Still, can't even imagine a situation where this would take three minutes, let alo…
  • Haven't experienced this either. Internal sampling shouldn't slow anything down. Which 6 AUs are you using? How long exactly(ish) is "impractically long" in this case?
  • @anickt said: Say I’m doing a Frippertronics kind of thing with a 10 second delay. When I hit Stop that delay is going to continue until I go into the AU (Tap Delay in this case) and kill it. That’s an extreme example but the idea applies to any …
  • This one is definitely 'on the list'. No idea about when though—lots to do!
  • Good stuff!

  • The piano-note keys (on the left) aren't making sound when i press them, sure i can touch on the grid but that draws a note. Am I missing something? You're not. That piano is for navigation/information only at the moment. I think switching i…
  • ^ What they said.
  • Been off my iPad for a spell but lost an hour earlier today messing around with modulating the FM oscillators again. Along with the envelopes internal to the FM oscillator, there's just so much to play with.
