  • Let’s start with the basics: fully quit all apps from the task switcher and restart your device. Does it still give the same error message?
  • May be a little complicated to explain to new users but this is a great workaround!
  • Ok guys, why don’t we cool it with the ad hominems. By my count it’s about even now.
  • Push is an Ableton Live exclusive controller, it’s not a standard midi controller at all. Ableton of course has Link support so the controller doesn’t need to. But as usual, you’re the ninja. 😂
  • Actually, I’m not sure. I think Link start/stop enables you to use another app to start/stop NS from the controller but I don’t know if Link supports playhead position, I’m guessing not. So controller -> another Link capable app with support for the controller’s transport controls -> Link controls NS’s start/stop. Could…
  • That’s how it works if there is an infinite market out there, my point is that the market is saturated and there aren’t that many people around to inspire. If every aspiring mobile producer hobbyist got NS2, I think that would be under 10000 people. That would be awesome but not realistic in the least. If you’re pushing…
  • @PUMP We all want to see NS succeed but the truth is there is no silver bullet. Even if ten multi-platinum producers sang praises about NS, they would maybe inspire a couple hundred people to put money into NS. Like Matt said, the musicians and producers, hobbyist and professional, who are open to mobile apps are not a big…
  • Scanned the link but I don’t see any new info on this page. Apple’s subscriptions are all or nothing. Not ”own software, rent updates”.
  • At least Waves has the same subscription model per plugin, and I distinctly remember bumping into it with other big name companies, so it’s not uncommon in desktop music software. But if Apple doesn’t offer it as an option, it’s a non-starter on mobile.
  • Very cool, that looks like an early Sega or Nintendo version 😀
  • Add some automated reverb and play it lower with a pitch bend and you’ve got it. Really cool patch @dendy !
  • Merged duplicate threads.
  • Do you have space optimization on on your devices? If you do, that might be Apple deleting your plugins in the background because you haven’t opened the actual apps in a long time. The setting is in the Settings app in Storage ”offload unused apps”.
  • It’s a special category, we can’t change the title but I’ll drop a line to Matt.
  • Great stuff @Cray23 knew you’d be the one for this! 👍
  • I think @Cray23 is the resident expert on bass here. Would you like to weigh in?
  • Oh hey 👍
  • Dendy has created the neuro-themed bass patches in the factory presets. Probably the best bet is to start with them. The complex class in the wavetable oscillator is made for these kinds of sounds. But to be honest, Obsidian is not Serum, so it’s going to be a lot of work. An OTT-type multiband compressor AU might be…
  • Also in the patchbay where you can find all routing in one place.
  • Oh, I meant more what do you use it for? If it’s just for different melodic ideas, you can create two parts and mute one of them, they can be on the same track lane even. I know it’s not the same, but this is what I do if I want to A-B ideas. After, I just clean up the unneeded parts.
  • Out of curiosity, how do you use this feature?
  • @djhc No, but you can export midi data and TRG presets, which you can load into Slate.
  • Yup, Eden is mono, TRG is stereo.
  • I strongly suggest you read the manual @ralis , Nanostudio has a learning curve, but the manual helps by explaining everything clearly and gives you the right vocabulary. Here’s midi export. Import is drag and drop.
  • You can add saturation and a lowpass filter in the Slate FX bus or in the mixer, which will warm it up. And a short room reverb with lots of damping will warm it up even further. NS2 is very transparent – it doesn’t colour the sound at all – by design, but you can add your personal colour and save the FX chain as a preset,…
  • You can either change the sample trigger mode from One-Shot to Sustain, which will not decay as long as the note is held, or keep the trigger mode in One-Shot and nudge D2 (basically release) just a bit more open so it is at infinite. Then it will play all the way through every time it’s triggered. By default the D2 value…
  • Have you tried turning your iDevice and your mac off and on again? Bluetooth and macs... there’s always something the matter there. I would just use a lightning cable but I know that might not suit your use case.
  • Time stretch / pitch shift is not one of NS’s features. You need to use another app for that. For loops you can try dendy’s hack https://blipinteractive.co.uk/community/index.php?p=/discussion/355/little-trick-for-timestretched-drumloop
  • That’s a great solution. You can also assign invert to triple-click home button if you have a home button. Smart is only different to classic in that it might leave photos uninverted in some apps in some contexts. 90% exactly the same.

  • Yes, this is still an issue. We did get an improvement on the initial look though, that was even darker. I suggest making the grid as wide as you can, so snapping is more obvious. And on a lighter note, Ableton just fixed the same issue with Live 11. That only took 3 years and cost around 150€ to upgrade 😀
