  • I’ve seen devs do it on various bugs. Especially if it’s a compatibility thing. Brambos is a prime example. In fact I’m pretty sure at least one app threw out an update already purely to make it compatible with ns2? That kinda stuff works both ways....
  • Dunno man. You see a lot of devs push out almost instant bug fixes if they’re found and dealt with as quick as Matt said this one was.... was just hoping Blip were one of those type of devs.
  • Drawing in the kind of arpeggio stuff that’s possible with SPA would drive me nuts!
  • Lack of fix releases is a bit of a concern..... This has been fixed already weeks ago apparently yet still ns2 is the only iOS host I have that spa doesn’t work in.... What’s the hold up on pushing out the fix???
  • Any news on this fix appearing?
  • Says it all > https://andrewbaron.bandcamp.com/releases
  • Dumb to invest Studio or portable production time. Yeah. If I’m writing on a forum then I’m obviously not doing either of those things. Just killing minutes. Smartass...
  • Dumb AF assumption to make from a few online posts but yeah, maybe I am, to someone like you at least. I don’t buy production tools in order to become part of a fan club or make friends or be charitable. I buy them to get shit done. And I’m only ever gonna use best tool I can for the job and keep an eye on what’s out there…
  • Piano roll is nice. Take lanes are good. Obsidian is pretty nice, especially when you wanna keep an eye on cpu. There’s stuff to like. That stuff already exists though so I have no need to mention it ;)
  • Lol, everyone except for the people that aren’t. Erm, yeah you could say that about any piece of software ;)
  • Genuinely happy for everyone that can use ns2 as their daw. It’s more stable than the alternatives (though yet to see if this is the case when the feature set allows for the same variables that exist elsewhere) and it’s cool that it’s working out for some folks. It’s not ticking many boxes for me personally at the moment…
  • Seems like potentially Matt just isn’t going to have the resources to compete with other daws that aren’t a ‘one man show’ and don’t have to weigh up their time allocation so carefully leading to these kind of omissions. Bummer cos there’s a lot of potential in ns2 foundations :(
  • I’d be in ‘patient’ mode except Matt already said this fix is sorted but he was planning to group it with other fixes before releasing. Which was while ago.. He should just push out the fix if it’s done. No need for every update release to have hundreds of fixes... Yeah, didn’t delete it in the end. Using it occasionally,…
  • Does Matt read the forum? This fix needs releasing ASAP and is frustrating to know is been dealt with but the updates being held back :(
  • Sore subject. Really wish matt would reconsider. Especially in light of the fact that although ‘some’ of the IAA apps are slowly being converted to AU, often the au version is a limited/simplified version of the real app. I hate IAA. But it exists and it’s a weird decision to totally ignore it and suggest all other devs to…
  • That’s kinda where I’m at too. Obsidian is great but it’s just a plug-in and there’s so much missing elsewhere. Hoping for some big updates ASAP...
  • @dendy Obsidian is great cos it’s pretty deep. Giving slate comparable depth isn’t gonna hurt anything. Simplicity isn’t a good thing about Slate atm imho. It’s a shortcoming... Good foundation to build on though :) Re bm3. Bm2 also had the same functionality but in a far less chaotic overall app. Chromatic per pad and…
  • Tbh I never exported Midi in my life. But pads have their own piano roll and mixer channel in things like B3. So I’d guess Midi export is same as any other Midi track?
  • Yeah totally agree. And +1 for note repeat/rolls too
  • I’m talking about standard drum pad sampler programming workflow/functions. Fast/organic and tidy/concise in terms of experimenting with composition and also editing etc. For that kind of traditional pad sampler workflow it’d really benefit Slate to take a leaf out of the best alternative options that are out there already…
  • Doable but slow and clunky workaround compared to a legit pitch mode.
  • Would be great to see a pitch mode added to slate at some point. Being able to select a pad and then play it chromatically. It’s a feature that I find myself missing every time I use Slate.
  • bug fix updates like this (minor dev work but significant improvements) would be great if they were released as soon as dealt with. It’s cool to wanna blow people away with BIG updates with long changelog lists, but frustrating to know this has been fixed for a while now but still we can’t use spa in ns2...
  • Is this fix coming any time soon?
  • Cut down versions tho :( Similarly to PPG infinite and Idensity. The full AU revolution will not be televised for quite some time yet...
  • Matt should flip him some shares in Blip. Dudes a one man marketing/support extravaganza :)
  • Are you on the ns2 payroll? You’re a man possessed ;)
  • Lol. IAP for ab support. Then I have to buy AB too....For functionality every other app includes from day one? No thanks.... Deleting ns2 for now. Narrow minded, defensive, OAP community that are possibly going to steer ns2 in to obscurity. Strange crowd/forum, most of whom probably never earned a buck from production or…
  • Funny. Guy.
  • I like messing with microtonal but it’s pretty niche compared to a ton of bread and butter features that ns2 should prioritise imho, at least if sales are priority.
