It sounds like you've recorded track automation rather than pattern automation. Pattern automation moves with the pattern but track automation doesn't. I think the only way is to select the section you want to move and then copy it to the clipboard, delete it, move to the new position, and paste. Unfortunately there isn't…

Same. Probably nothing you can do. That app seems to have been abandoned not too long after release. I can't think of any use for it in NS2 for myself since you can't send external audio into an audio FX in NS2 anyway.
-
You're welcome. It's a question that comes up often as people get into iOS from desktop.
-
@Lerolightning - it's important to understand how CPU metering in iOS works. It's very different than on a PC. It is not a reflection of the percentage of total CPU power is being used. It's a reflection of the percentage of CPU power that iOS has allocated at the time. iOS dynamically allocates resources as needed, and it…

That is a good question. TBH I've never been able to get myself to use Slate for audio track workflow. It's just too far removed from how I've worked with audio tracks in other DAWs. I do know that Koala is intuitive and super easy and fun to get my head around. I really should give Slate more of an effort.

Good point.
-
That would be wonderful. It would also make using MultiTrack Recorder as a substitute for audio tracks a lot more practical.

Is Background Audio enabled in NS2 settings?
-
Great! Glad it helped. 😎
-
@tonedef - to uninstall an app, long-press it from the Home Screen until you get a popup menu with the option to delete the app. But first, another thing you can try is to "offload" and then "reload" the app. Go to iOS Settings > Storage. Wait until the list of apps you have installed appears at the bottom (this might take…

Some of the best drum sequencing I've ever heard. 👍🏼
-
@HTUTM - there's no deep musical theory needed here. Just look at a piano keyboard and count the white and black keys up from C to the key you want to be in. For a live set, maybe keep a simple diagram handy if you don't want to have to memorize the transpose settings. C# D# F# G# A#C | D | E F | G | A | B KEY| | | | | | |…

Yep. I think it it's accurate, based on a search of the topic. Thinking about this - the addition of Link start/stop makes this a bit less of a workflow interrupter than it used to be. That's a good thing.
-
The only major not great part of it is you can't record external audio input to it. To make use of external audio recording you need to do so in the standalone version. Once you do that, you can make use of that recorded audio in NS2. (going from memory here ... I hope that's accurate)

@PUMP, I'm guessing that you are independently wealthy, or supported by parents or the State, if you could afford to work for free. Most people can't and still have to work paying jobs to pay the bills. Projects such as this don't generate enough income to do that, so they only get the amount of time left over after doing…
-
@Rorytheborder - that's really strange, especially since it's happening on two devices for you. I've never heard of anything like that. The devices aren't jailbroken or anything are they?
-
Yes. Or another Clock to Link bridge such as MidiLinkSync. I recommend AudioBus, it is ideal for this. Just set AudioBus to receive clock from your hardware and enable Link in AB and NS2. Its best to load NS2 into AudioBus so that it will also respond to start and stop.

@karmatosed are you sure that the AUv3s are showing up in other DAWs right now? IOS 14 has a known issue where occasionally all AUv3 apps will disappear until you do a full reboot of the device. Either way, a reboot is the first thing to try. If that doesn’t bring them back, find the Manage button above the AUv3 app list…
-
Have you checked Settings > MIDI > Input to be sure your controller is recognized and enabled?
-
I don't know of any DAWS on iOS that have that feature.
-
No.
-
Nope.

The manual explains it pretty well: https://www.blipinteractive.co.uk/nanostudio2/user-manual/CommonControls.html#file-browser https://www.blipinteractive.co.uk/nanostudio2/user-manual/Slate.html

Have you tried doing a full power-off and back on of your device? You can also try uninstalling and reinstalling the files app. You won't lose any files. But to be safe you should be sure to have a full backup of your device.
-
There's an app called MultiTrack Recorder that can be used in place of audio tracks. It's not ideal, but can work. The biggest limitation is you can't record directly into it from outside of NS2. You can send NS2 tracks to it. You can import audio clips to it. But to record into it you need to record into the standalone…

I’ve run into issues before when I’ve forgotten that a device was connected to more than one place. Also, if there are non-midi pairings between the devices, they can interfere with BLE Midi connections. If you have any standard parings, cause both devices to forget those connections.
-
There’s no search that I know of. You can tap the numbers at the right of the list to jump to different parts of the list if that helps.

Workin' here on Big Sur (11.1) with iOS 13.7.

Map the parameters of those knobs to macro knobs and record the movement of those. See the section "Macro Tools" in the manual: https://www.blipinteractive.co.uk/nanostudio2/user-manual/AUInstrument.html
