Final version of my “Quarantune” #2. “Kitchen Jungle Boogie” in NS2
Hello! This is my second ever composition/production. I dub these: “Quarantunes.” But the song title is “Kitchen Jungle Boogie” because the vast majority of the sounds were recorded from my kitchen: pots, pans, doors, microwave, sink, glass bowls, ceramic bowls, metal bowls, potato brush (shaker), water, tea, soda, and… -
filter #2 not active in parallel or stereo, only in series - SOLVED
Hello, It does not seem like filter #2 is active when filter routing is set to parallel or stereo. I have tried this on a freshly initialized patch. I have tried through all 3 oscillators. The filter path selection is set to go through the two filters, not bypass. Filter #1 seems to work as expected. Both filters work when… -
How to send MIDI CC from NanoStudio 2?
I have a track with a StepPolyArp in the MIDI FX slot which has a few patterns inside it. Usually, in other DAWs (Cubasis, etc), to change patterns I send a MIDI CC #21 (with the pattern number) to StepPolyArp. In NS2 I couldn't find out how to send MIDI CC. I've tried the Piano Roll automation, but all I could find was… -
[Feature Request] Device Order Enumeration and Automation Clarity
When you create the same device in the Audio FX insert screen it looks like this... Fig 1 Then if I Automate the first one it looks like this in the automation screen... Fig 2 The automation page shows the number order of the devices that are the same based on the order in the Audio FX page. If I change the order of the… -
Re: Universal Midi Controller Mapping for Pads
I know this is an old thread, so apologies for bumping it out of the grave. You actually can do this, the pads use notes as you said, not MIDI messages. You can't change them on the hardware side, but you can in the software. I've mapped them all out and written it down, so I may as well share :) Works fine on my LaunchKey… -
Re: Solo a sound in Slate pattern editor?
Yes, this would be a nice feature. Would save time from the work-around methods. Work-Around Method #2 Using multiple track lanes, or multiple tracks, copy/paste your part to the other track lanes and then delete all but the row you want to ‘solo’. Time-consuming, but when you are mixing/mastering then this could be time… -
Re: Custom midi pads mapping for Slate
pads are by default mapped to some notes, but you can change it.. In Slate go to "PAD" tab, then tap at button "SETUP". In "MIDI Note" selector you can choose note for that pad. But hold in mind that this setting is saved together with bank, it's not global setting, so you will need to change it again for other bank.… -
Re: Slate kit completely silent on project reload
Hmmm.... I also tried loading Slate kits with far too many very large samples. Specifically: 1. copy a 108MB sample (a mixdown) into the Audio folder of an empty project 2. using Files app, duplicate 31 times (enough for two Slate kits of 16 pads each, and all samples "different") in the same folder 3. create Slate kit #1… -

Re: filter #2 not active in parallel or stereo, only in series - SOLVED
I'm pretty sure filter #2 is working in all routing configuration - it is used a lot in factory or IAP patches :) Are you sure you enabled it ? By default filter #2 is disabled, you need to tap on it's enable button (at left side of "FILTER" text) - filter then switch from grey to blue (or what is color of track) which…
