How well does Bram Bos’ Mononoke work in NS2?

  1. Does it record from Mononoke’s trigger pads?
  2. Does it capture all the nuances? I.e. does playback sound exactly like the original performance?
  3. If not, are there workarounds?

Not yet, there are a number of things missing:
    1. Ability to record AUs (instrument or effect) MIDI out
    2. Sequencer being able to record/playback MPE (or even aftertouch)
    3. Being able to pass through MPE from external controller (software or hardware) to an AU instrument

I just realized that my three points correspond to the reasons for saying “no” to each of your questions 😛

The forthcoming audio tracks in NS2 may provide a self-contained workaround, if I can host mononoke in NS2 on an AUv3 track, route its audio output to an audio track, hit record, and perform on Mononoke’s triggers...
