@Nanopod, I use multiple instances of Slate for: Kick, Snare, Toms, Hats, etc. this way you can use a track for each and now you have control within the mixer. NS2 runs so efficiently, it's no big deal to do it this way.

It's done from Slate itself... click on the "Pad" icon at the left and you'll see Level, Pan, Width etc. Now just tap the pad you want to adjust and have at it!

Nice work!

Marvellous!
-
That did it, thank you, mate!
-
Nicely done, Stu! Catchy to listen to and mesmerizing to watch. Cheers!

We all wish/want/long for NS2 to be a fully fledged DAW, but complaining won't make it so. The dev, Matt, is a single person working (to my knowledge) on completing NS2 as a part-time venture in order to keep food on the table while he does so. He i…

Yeah, that would be excellent also. /2 used repeatedly would be a really quick way to cut a sustained chord down to single notes to be used as arpeggios. It’s already pretty quick with NS2 with the select all and edit length functions, but it would …

Aw rats! That's disappointing. Matt needs to have a look at the AP 'Process' menu to see what we could use in NS2.
-
Most definitely!
-
Ah, disregard... I apparently tried loading the files into the wrong place. Got it sussed now, thanks!
-
I must be thick as a brick, but when I hit that icon, I don’t see any of the MIDI files I supposedly already imported.

Love this!

Wow! Fantastic sound pack and very cool Vlogs on using it within NS2. Looking forward to future sound packs from you.

Hyper!

Major edgy!

Soooo phat!

Fantastic! Love the drumming!

Top notch @Stiksi, love it!

@tja said: But without a headphone jack.... it's sadly useless of me. The newer iPads or iPhones don't have one, so the interface needs to provide it. The Nucleum hub has two USB-C jacks... one for power-thru and an additional one that…

Thanks for the feedback... I'll give that a try, but I'm picking up an Akai MPD 218 this morning to be my drum controller, and I'll leave the MiniLab for the keyboard work. I want to be able to do proper finger drumming, so this seems the best devic…

Aw shit! Well, pads 1-8 work fine but I can’t get the shifted pads 9-16 working. I’ve scrolled through the entire note range in NS2’s pad setup, but no joy! Help!
-
Ahhh! Sussed it at last. The drum pads are programmed to start at MIDI note 36 (C1). I just needed to adjust Slate’s MIDI notes down 2 octaves! Happy bunny!

@stringerrrrr said: Sounds great - looks there's a review on Amazon saying it doesn't work for the exact thing I want to use it for, but I can always return it... Thanks! I've been using mine with my 3rd Gen 12.9 iPad Pro and my Arturia M…

Get yourself a Kingston Nucleum hub... has everything you need in one device. It does not have the 3.5mm headphone jack, but it does have an additional USB-C port (besides the dedicated power port) that I use with the Apple USB-C-to-3.5mm jack dongl…

I'm with Richard here... I'd much rather have a Y-Axis-base velocity on the "pad" itself. I get this capability from the 1"-square drum pads on my hardware keyboards; it can be done in a small space.

@Devvy, lovin' it, mate! Has a both a JMJ and Vangelis vibe and sound to it. Very nice!

@User_Error said: Oh, and for Slate: Taiko kits would be awesome as well as Cinematic FX. +1000 for this... Love all things percussive, bring on the drums!

+1 to this ^
