Sweet beats :) well done!
-
Thanks for reminding me of that, @Stiksi - I'd forgotten about that option for shaping samples :)
-
Manic! Makes me think of old school video games :) and that brings back good memories for me
-
I still would prefer to see native audio tracks, though, mainly because it would be better to see the audio waveform in the timeline :) but also because the audio would be part of the NS2 project, not somewhere else waiting for me to accidentally delete it! So even if it works well, I'd still pay for an audio track IAP.

There are so many approaches to making music! That makes writing s/w for making music particularly difficult. PS @TEas08 your English is plenty good enough  and it's great to have people from all over the world here. We all need to get along better, and music is a great thing to share across oceans and borders...

I suspect you're right, @dendy I bought it to see how well it works, and it does sync nicely, if only it got audio in it would be reasonable in the short term (see downsides at the end of this post).. I think that there would have to be a track type which would let audio through to the AU FX. (The other types are Obsidian,…

I agree, @anickt, if audio tracks have reached some sort of technical hurdle.... Some sort of "synch start" for the recording, even if just synched to the bar, e.g. in the "sample record" function, add an option to "synch start" the recording (e.g. as a checkbox), or have a separate record button which is "synch record"…

+1 on Rozeta. I tried Ioniarics and it doesn't seem to work as a standard up/down arp, or play all the notes, for some reason, but it's worth keeping an eye on if the dev can fix these. It looks like it should do these, but didn't for me.

Hey, well they've been around for a while, so that's a good start... they've even got a myspace page and have been releasing from 2006. Listening to their Bandcamp releases, and to my ears, your mastering is as good as their previous releases... Maybe others on this forum can help determine whether there's more you can do…
-
@Cray23 best of luck  your style is exciting and you've proven you can produce on a regular basis, which is so important these days of short memories... Please let us know how it goes, and what you learn from the process And make sure no one rips you off....
-
:+1: And the graphics style is nicely consistent with the music style, too.
-
Sorry, late to this thread, but I wanted to add a reason I like audio tracks over the current workarounds - you can see the waveform. I have built an Obsidian patch which allows me to play a long sample (for example a whole mixed down track) using one long note. So I can, with some additional effort, include a long sample…

:+1: Autumn over this side of the world is far more grey than where you are, clearly  ...and probably more like 90bpm and through a low pass filter

I agree - think the cables flexing is an advantage for stability. Sad, because the dock is otherwise good. My first one - by Alesis, for the original ipad - was really unreliable, but the Focusrite one is good in a "studio" (lol - I mean the corner of a bedroom) where the occasional disconnection won't ruin the day. I…
-
Very cool indeed. I ask because I bought a Focusrite dock, and like it but sometimes the ipad seems to disconnect from it, and I wonder whether the ipad moves slightly and breaks the connection. Anyway, I haven't had the courage to try to use it even at a practice just because I'd be too worried about that.... and so I was…

Glad to hear it! Has the rig been reliable?
-
You're welcome!
-
Shame, but that happens. I feel for you. I played bass on a gig once where I really couldn't hear what I was playing, and it was not fun.
-
If you use a DAW with Ableton Link, you could use that to synch it with NS2, which would get you part of the way there as is - keep editing NS2 tracks in NS2 until you're ready to freeze all tracks to audio? Not sure whether this is enough for how you want to work, but suggesting it just in case it is
-
Nicely said! Thanks from me too
-
Never worry about the setup being the bigger star @Stiksi .... it worked for Deadmau5
-
Thanks @dendy - I think I'll have to buy it then
-
This is also useful for checking your mix while mastering, and for taking the stereo out of the bass in your track if you split the master output into high frequencies and low frequencies, then make the low mono. So thanks Blip for making it so easy to set up channels and groups and sends...!
-
Nice! You must be ready to release a full album by now....
-
Nice - thanks for sharing  I have been thinking hard about buying Turnado, but it's not cheap... Do people get enough use out of it to make it worthwhile, in your opinion, please? And are the effects high quality, low on artifacts, smooth during sweeps for example? Or am I likely to just leave it sitting there,…
-
Nice! Powered as well :) Next step is to build in flashing lights!
-
Another option might be to code something in Bram Bos' Mozaic using the global variables in a "master" track to control "slave" tracks. I've done that sort of thing as a workaround for global non-destructive swing, for example. Just note that it's notes only for midi FX in NS for now, cc's bypass them. In this case, the…

Nice - just confirming us people without twitter accounts can see the video
-
Yeah! Your tracks just make me smile. Well done, yet again

The lyrics are fine for dance music - simple and repeated so I can sing along  and I really don't want to be thinking too much on the dancefloor....
