Oh man, I just got a flashback to the first time a button was posted on the NS1 forum...

@Nyanko Very good point about the presets. It's fun figuring out how everything is connected and it definitely provides a good map for personal preset creation. I imported a folder of my own drum sounds and started making a Slate kit last night. I looked at the factory and IAP presets for reference. Related, the drag and…

@Stiksi fair enough. Looking forward to both of those other things as well, planning on dedicating an older iPhone to NS2 when possible.

Yeah man, this 9 to 5 is cutting into my NS2 time...sleep is postponed until further notice.
-
@nkdvkng Yo man, thanks for the love! I'm guessing you didn't get much sleep last night either, like the majority of this forum's users ;) I'll be trying to make some NS2 videos soon.

Ah, I think you may need to wait for the upcoming audio track IAP to be able to see waveforms and MIDI notes on the same screen. Sounds like what you're describing is something typically seen in a song mode view, rather than a sampler/wave editor view. Short of using a grid for reference in the wave editor I can't think of…

@StevePAL The tonal controls are great, really awesome that they can be assigned to an XY pad too...so expressive!

@Nyanko Personally I find most of the Obsidian preset sounds on par or better than the Korg Gadget/Module sounds. I'll try to post some videos of my favorite patches in the near future.

Regarding audio import, using the Files app to drop directories from AudioShare to the NS2 folder is very convenient. There is also a recorder inside Obsidian and Slate.

It's like saying "New York City" in a Pace Picante ad, or asking someone holding some Polaner All-Fruit to "Please pass the jelly" ;)

Thanks for these, @StevePAL

It's mighty easy on the eyes for sure.

@dendy a reasonable response as always. I'll follow the lead of whoever moderates that thread, meanwhile I'll continue to have my mind blown by this amazing app. Please excuse the quickness of the initial post, I meant no disrespect. @"Blip Interactive" you've created a masterpiece!

Yes, I find this slightly cumbersome as well. Some plugins conform to the space and others don't. I like the suggestion of adding knobs in the empty space when relevant.

The one feature I would love to see is a MIDI Stretch in the quantize options on the sequence editor. It would be very helpful to stretch selected notes to fit a looped section, maintaining the relative spacing between notes (similar to Auria Pro or Abelton).
